Membership of the ISNPR offers many benefits, including reduced registration to the biennial conferences and the opportunity for clinical members to be listed on a register as clinicians with a focus on nutritional approaches to clinical practice.

Research Members: Individuals who are active in the field of nutritional psychiatry research or a related scientific discipline (dietetics, endocrinology, neuroscience etc.), at an academic or research institution recognised by the Committee. Retired researchers who wish to remain an active member in the field may also be admitted to this membership class by the Committee. Must provide evidence of at least two research publications.

Clinical Members: Individuals who are a current or retired health practitioner (general medical practitioners, dietitians, psychologists, psychiatrists, medical specialists) with a qualification recognised by the Committee.

Associate Members: Individuals who have an interest in the field of nutritional psychiatry but are not necessarily research or clinically active. This includes allied health professionals and practitioners not recognised in the Clinical Member category, representatives from industry, policy, public health, and other interested parties approved by the Committee

Students: Individuals who are engaged in undergraduate or graduate study related to nutritional psychiatry or another related scientific discipline, at institution recognised by the Committee. Verification is required in the form of evidence showing full-time enrolment status.

To make an application for membership, please provide:

• Full name and title
• Affiliation (university or clinical practice) name and address
• A contact email address
• Confirmation of support of the purposes of the ISNPR and agreement to comply with the ISNPR Rules (set out in the By-laws and Rules here)

Membership fees

For all new memberships, a joining fee of $20 applies.

• All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars.
• The membership year for the Society shall be from 1 January to 31 December.
• The Committee may determine that any new member who joins after the start of the membership year must, for that membership year, pay a fee equal to—

1. the full annual subscription; or
2. a pro rata annual subscription based on the remaining part of the membership year; or
3. a fixed amount determined from time to time by the Society.

• Membership subscriptions are due 14 days after the Member is admitted to the Society and 14 days after the start of each membership year.
